Offset Print Jobs

Our company uses only up to date Heidelberg technology to ensure that client-supplied files are processed to the plate stage in accordance with our client’s specifications & deadlines. In January 2009 we invested in a new chemistry-free plate processor system which will ensure that our plates are of the highest quality & reduce our impact on the environment to a bare minimum.
In general, files supplied to us are checked & prepared to ensure that the best possible plate is produced. The basic process of processing a plate from a file is as follows:

Files Supplied To Us

We encourage our customers to supply us with PDF files. These files undergo a rigorous preflight through Enfocus Pitstop Professional software.

We use Heidelberg Signa Station imposition software to arrange the pages into the most efficient order for printing.

RIP (Raster Image Processor)

The imposed files are then processed through our Heidelberg Meta Dimension system to create files that produce printing plates.

Digital Proofing

All colour offset printing is digitally proofed prior to plate imaging using the same RIPPED files that will eventually image the plates. We use Heidelberg Colour Proof Pro software (which is calibrated to The Printing Express & The Digital Edge presses) to print digital proofs on our Epson printers that accurately represents what the job will look like when printed.

CTP (Computer To Plate)

As soon as the proof is approved by the customer, we then send the RIPPED files to our Heidelberg CTP system for plate-making. Our technology results in high quality plates being made within deadline..

Digital Print Jobs

The process for our digital print customers is the same up to the imposition stage. After imposition, the files are transferred to The Digital Edge where they are RIPPED on the actual digital offset press which will produce a proof. Once the proof is approved, that same press will then print the job.
